Scott Darrell

Lifelong Seminole resident Darrell Scott passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 61.   He was born on January 17, 1949 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Bill and Dora (Dove) Scott.  He worked as a Superintendent at Jerry Scott Drilling and worked in the oilfield all his life. He married Barbara (White) Scott on July 1, 1979 in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Darrell loved his morning coffee at the coffee shop with his friends. He also loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Barbara of the home, two brothers, Jerry Scott of Shawnee and Bill Scott of Ada, one sister Betty Brinsfield of Seminole and one son Steve Walls and wife Kim of Virginia, three daughters, Penny Ezell and husband Anthony of Shawnee, Tammy Earls and husband Larry of Tecumseh, Shelly Harwell and husband Jeff of Tecumseh, six granddaughters; Tia French and husband Jody of Shawnee, Katy Walls of Virginia, Whitney Ezell of Shawnee, Rikki Earls of Earlsboro, Jodi Harrison of Earlsboro, Jessica, Harwell of Earlsboro and three grandsons, Kord Walls of Virginia, Peyton Ezell of Shawnee and Zac Earls of Tecumseh, and one great-grandson Jett French.  He is also survived by numerous other family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dora Scott, one son Donnie Walls and one brother Roland Scott. Darrell was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Slim Crabtree officiating.  Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.    Pallbearers will be: Shawn Clark, Anthony Ezell, Jody French, Rowdy Pickering, Gary Brinsfield and Ronald Dye.
