Samuel Doran

Samuel Paul Doran, Age 81, passed away from this life at his home on July 16, 2008, in Konawa, Oklahoma. He was born to Joe and Wineford (Morgan) Doran in Duncan, Oklahoma on January 28, 1927. He married Vera Hudson in Gainsville, Texas, on February 15, 1974. Sam served in the Army and was a carpenter who retired from Civil Service in 1975, after nineteen years of service. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, P.W.P. of the Eastern Star, P.R.P. - Amaranth, Shriner, and a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. He is survived by his wife; Vera Doran of the Home; one son, Paul David Doran of Edmond, Oklahoma; two daughters, Retha Plumlee of Tuttle, Oklahoma and Carol Banta of Konawa, Oklahoma; one brother, Bethel Doran of Hanford, California; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
