Samantha Jane Cogburn, 42, Seminole resident died suddenly May 6, 2012 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born June 21, 1969 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Samantha was employed at Pioneer Nursing Home in Seminole, Oklahoma as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) and assisted patients with restoring their health. She was a graduate of Meeker High School in Meeker, Oklahoma and had lived and worked in Seminole for the past 10 years. She was a very loving person to her family and took very good care of her patients. The family remembers her as having a unique personality, a hard worker and had a great sense of humor who loved to study the bible and attend church; she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Leslie Cogburn of Seminole, Oklahoma, her father and mother who raised her, Glenn Lavonne Pettitt and Norma Jean (Winter) Pettitt of Meeker, Oklahoma, her biological mother Dolly Yancy of Oklahoma, her mother-in-law Carol Williams of Seminole, Oklahoma; four sons Tony Blocker of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Toby Blocker of Seminole, Oklahoma, Travis Blocker of Bethany, Oklahoma and Jessie Blocker of Seminole, Oklahoma, two daughters Rosanna Blocker of Enid, Oklahoma and Samantha Blocker of Ohio, and her step-son Les Cogburn and step-daughter Lisa Cogburn both of Seminole, Okalhoma. She is also survived by five brothers and five sisters including Evon Pettitt and Dolly Pettitt of Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Temple of Praise Church at 1100 N. University in Seminole. Burial will be at Little Cemetery, Rev. Jeff Nance will officiate at the service.
