RICHLAND HILLS -- Charles Samuel "Sam" Houck, 63, a loving husband, father and grandfather went to be with his Lord Wednesday, June 16, 2010, after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis. Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole, OK. Interment: Resthaven Memorial Garden in Seminole. Mr. Houck was born September 24, 1946 in Seminole, OK to Sylvester and Marie Houck. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Sam was married to Donna Gale Hale on May 29, 1970 they moved to Tyler for a while and have lived in Fort Worth for the last 25 years. He was longtime employee of ARCO, Citgo and Explorer Pipelines. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Marie Houck and a brother, Paul Houck. Survivors: include his wife of 40 years, Donna Hale Houck of Fort Worth, Texas; sons, Adam Houck of Fort Worth, Texas, Scott Houck and wife Ashley and grandson Preston Houck all of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, David Houck and his wife Carol of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; sisters, Phyllis Casteel and her husband Virgil of Eufaula, Oklahoma and Millie Castle and her husband Jack of Seminole, Oklahoma.
