Sally Fixico

Sally Susan Fixico, 61 year-old, life long Seminole resident passed from this life Thursday, September 23, 2010 at her home in Seminole.  She was born February 9, 1949 in Talihina, Oklahoma to parents John Larney and Melinda “Linda” (Alexander) Larney. Sally was a homemaker and a member of Hichitee Methodist Church.  She was also a proud member of the Seminole Nation and was active with their Senior Citizen program. Sally leaves to cherish her memories one son, John Ray Bear of Seminole, Oklahoma; five daughters, Sherry Fixico of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Tina Southers of Seminole, Oklahoma, Rhonda Fixico of Seminole, Oklahoma, Thomasene Fixico of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Christina Drinkard of Tishomingo, Oklahoma; three brothers, John Larney, Jr. of Iola, Kansas, Simon Larney of Konawa, Oklahoma and Harry Larney of Seminole, Oklahoma; three sisters, Idalena Ataddlety of Seminole, Oklahoma, Shirley Walters of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Cecilia Proctor of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren, Marquis Fixico, Merlin Bufflomeat, Marian Sala, Malachi Sala, Samantha Deere, Mama-Neta Archilta, Marly Lorenzo, Cene’ Fixico, Justine Tilley, John Deere, Jr., Alisha Deere, Charles Deere, Kylen Southers, Ryan Tilley, Joseph Trevino, Kala Trevino, Bradley Blackwolf, Ashley Trevino and Jacob Drinkard; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends. Sally is preceded in death by her mother, Melinda Mitchell; her father, John Larney, Sr.; one son, Samuel Edwin Fixico, Jr.; three sisters, Linda Bear, Rachel Bear and Johnnie Alford; one infant grandson, “Baby Boy Fixico” also preceded her in death. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Rev. Bill Hobia and Elmer Haynes will officiate the service. Honorary Bearers will be: Tim Bear, Kevin Alford, Kent Alford, Joe Burgess and Christopher Ataddlety. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
