Sadie Lynn Larney, age 19 and a life-long resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 in an auto accident on Hwy. 39 south of Konawa, Oklahoma. There will be no wake service. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at High Springs Baptist Church Pavilion under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Jimsey Harjo will officiate, and burial will follow at Ishlum Harjo Family Cemetery. Casket bearers are Alex Yellowfish, Chance Yellowfish, John Harjo, Josiah Harjo, Seth Tanyan, and Caleb Nail. Honorary bearers are her great uncles. Sadie was born December 30, 2000, in Ada, Oklahoma to Leandra Ann Yellowfish and Simon Jacob Larney. She attended Konawa High School and played basketball for the Lady Tigers. She worked as a Medical Aide for McCall’s Chapel in Ada, Oklahoma. Sadie was a member of the Seminole Nation and a descendant of the Comanche Nation and a Yellowfish descendant. She is survived by her parents, Leandra Yellowfish and Simon Larney of Konawa; one daughter, Addison Larney of the home; two brothers, Silas Larney of Lindsey, Oklahoma, and John Larney of Konawa; two sisters, Mandy Yellowfish of Konawa, and Mahaley Larney of Konawa; maternal grandmother, Katie Yellowfish of Konawa; paternal grandfather, Thomas Harjo, Sr. of Shawnee, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Jaycee Harjo of Konawa, Jordyn Yellowfish of Konawa, Sage Larney of Lindsey, Oklahoma, and Sayre Larney of Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lyman Yellowfish, Jr., and John Larney; grandmother, Lillie Harjo; and niece, Raegan Larney (who also passed away in the auto accident).
