Russell Gibson

Russell Morris Gibson, 55 year-old, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life on Sunday, September 28, 2013 at his resident in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  He was born July 16, 1958 in Coolidge, Arizona. Russell graduated from Seminole High School.  He then joined the Seminole Army reserve, where he served several years.  Russell also worked for over 15 years at Seminole Public Schools as a custodian. Russell was a devout Christian and attended Church for many years at the Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole.  This is where he met and married his wife Patricia Ann “Pat” (Hyden) Gibson on January 20, 2001. Survivors include his wife, Pat Gibson of the home; his mother-in-law, Virginia Horn of Seminole, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Kimberly “Michelle” Clark of Washington State; one brother and sister-in-law, Darnell and Joyce Jackson of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and a host of other family including four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law; and many dear friends. Russell was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Immanuel Fellowship Church with Bro. Danny Fisher officiating the service and Mark Hennen providing the music.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery north of Seminole. Casket Bearers will be: Mike Scheller, Bob Davis, Darnell Jackson and Mitchelle Hennen. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
