Ruby Tanyan

Ruby Sue Tanyan, 62 year-old, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Seminole Care and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born March 2, 1950 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to parents, Benjamin Tanyan and Lorene (Coody) Tiger. Following High School Ruby worked as a hairdresser and homemaker. Ruby leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Danetta Elaoufir of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one son, Benjamin Warledo of Holdenville, Oklahoma; five brothers, Jimmy Harjo, Curtis Harjo, Simon Harjo, Albert Tiger and Clifton Tanyan all of Seminole, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Mitchell Ryan Barber and Matthew Scott Barber; four great-grandchildren, Jayden Barber, Caidence Barber, Chasten Barber and Keera Barber; as well as a host of other family and dear friends. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Carolyn Talamasey and by two brothers, Anthony Tanyan and Chris Tanyan. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Paul D. Wolfe and Johnny Harjo will officiate.  A wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
