Funeral services for Ruby Sexton, 89, longtime Konawa, Oklahoma resident are scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Services will be held in the Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Konawa. with Richard Winters and Carl Wills officiating. Burial will follow at Konawa City Cemetery.rnrnRuby passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in Ada, Oklahoma. Ruby was born November 26, 1918 in Konawa to Joe and Sadie (Fuller) Norman and she had lived in the Konawa area most all her life. She worked many at The Dixie Store in Konawa as a clerk. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Konawa. She loved Quilting and Crossword Puzzles.rnrnShe married Howard Sexton on August 26, 1937, in Konawa. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ray Norman and two sisters, Mable Norman and Irene Stockton. rnrnShe is surivived by three daughters, Mary Jo Williams of Konawa, Kay Eason of Boise, Idaho and Nancy Lemmings of Midwest City, Oklahoma and one son, Dewayne Sexton of Konawa: eight grandchildren, five great-grancchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma.
