Funeral services for Longtime Seminole resident Ruby Nell (Hunt) Reece are scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with James Hays and Lance Reece officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. rnrnRuby passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Grace Living Center in Bethany, Oklahoma at the age of 92. rnrnShe was born in Yell County, Arkansas on May 2, 1915 to Virgil and Mary (Annie) Hunt. Her mother died when Ruby was a young girl and she came to Oklahoma to live with her Aunt and Uncle, J.L. and Gertrude Hays.rnrnRuby graduated High School from Wolf in 1934 and married Thomas Reece together they made their home Seminole. rnrnShe was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole and taught Sunday school for many years. She was loved by the toddlers, their parents and grandparents. She loved her family and friends and expressed it by her devotion to their welfare.rnrnShe worked at Roosevelt Schools for 11 years as the head cook. After that she worked and retired from Tinker Air Force Base for 151/2 years as an Assistant Foreman and wageworker.rnShe is survived by her daughter Norma VanHooser ? Cox and Husband Keith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and two brothers: James Hays of Norman, Oklahoma and Bob Hays of Clarksville, Mississippi.rnrnShe is also survived by her grandchildren, rnVann Reece of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lance Reece and wife Misty of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, great grandson, Noah David Reece and Elijah Hadden Reece both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.rnrnMrs. Reece is preceded in death by her parents, son, Thomas Clyde Reece and his wife Mary Jim, two brothers, Leon Hunt and Fair Hays, and one sister, Wanda Hays-Meadows.rnrnIn her final months of her life she lived in Grace Living Center in Bethany, Oklahoma which was close to her family. rnrnPallbearers will be: James Lee Hays, Vann Reece, Danny Wood, Keith Cox, Lance Reece and Allen Ledbetter. rn Funeral Information: November 9, 2007, 2:00 AM
