Ruby (Walton) Claborn

Ruby (Walton) Claborn, age 89, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Sasakwa Baptist Church.  Rev. Gary Choate and Rev. Wesley Martin will officiate. Service is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Ruby was born in Sasakwa December 11, 1927 to Burnie Steven Walton and Gladys Mae (Jones) Walton.  She received an Associate Degree worked as a bookkeeper for Western Electric and the Ammunition Plant in McAlester, Oklahoma.  She was a member of the Sasakwa Assembly of God Church, and Ruby’s passion was sewing. She had two daughters, Lee Wilson of Ada and Kay Byerly and husband, Keith of Holdenville, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Frankie Wilson, Marty Wilson, Dusty Wilson, Khini Brown, Shaena Abbott, Hollie Jackson; fourteen great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Steven William Stinson; three brothers, Willie Walton, Sidney Walton, and Burnie Walton, Jr.; one sister, Helen Western; and grandson, Marty Wilson.
