Roy Clemons Carroll, longtime Konawa area resident, died Saturday, January 27, 2007, at Jan Francis Care Center in Ada, at the age of 95.rnHe was born on October 23, 1911 in Konawa to Walter Clemons Carroll & Nora (Mathis) Carroll. rnHe married Eva Carroll on March 3, 1949 in Guthrie, OK. Roy worked as tool pusher in the greater area olifields most of his life. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Konawa and also a 50-year member of the Konawa Masonic Lodge. Roy also served on the Konawa City Council for several years. rnHe is survived by one son, Walter Carroll and his wife Debra of Konawa; two step-daughters, LaDonna Willis of Canton, OK and Joyce of California; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.rnHe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Eva on March 1, 2001; one brother and three sisters.rnFuneral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Konawa with Rev.
