Rosie Anita Harjo of Maud, Oklahoma, a life long Seminole, County resident passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the age of 52. Rosie was born on August 14, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Jonases and Mary Ellen Scott. Rosie was a wife, homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church of Maud, Oklahoma. Rosie is survived by husband Albert Curley, Jr. and 3 stepsons: Michael Curley of Maud, Oklahoma, Steven House of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Glen House and wife Brandy of Maud, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 2 stepdaughters: Darla Curley of Seminole, Oklahoma and Emily Clarkson of Meeker, Oklahoma. Rosie is survived by brothers, Leon and Randy Harjo both of Maud, Oklahoma and sisters Joanna Harjo and husband Curtis Gentry of Konawa, Oklahoma, and Kathie Hurst and friend Mike Steele of Maud, Oklahoma, Rita Harris and husband David of Maud, Oklahoma, Jeannette Harjo-Codd and husband George of Staten Island, New York, Toni and Michael Morgan of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Tiffany and Michael Parker of Blackwell, Oklahoma. She is also survived by godson, Cody Williams of Maud, Oklahoma, step-son Edward Shawn of Hackett, Arkansas,17 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren on the way. Rosie was preceded in death by grandfather, Lee Harjo, her father and mother, Jonases and Mary Harjo and a step-daughter Janet Harmon. Services for Rosie will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the People’s Church of Maud, Oklahoma with Rev. Jimsey Harjo officiating and assisted by Bunny Carpitcher. Casket Bearers: Michael Curley, Bill Harmon, Scotty Harmon, Cody Williams, Curtis Gentry and Joshua Phelps Honorary Bearers: Jacob Harjo, Jeremiah Harjo, Leon Harjo, Randy Harjo, George Codd and Frankie Williams.
