Rosey Lee Lena, 80, former longtime Seminole County resident, died Saturday, March 14, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Rosey was born January 27, 1934 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to Lula (Davis) Tiger and Jessie Tiger. Rosey grew up in the Sasakwa area and attended schools there. She was a member of the Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. She had lived and worked in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area for many years. She was a childcare worker in area Daycare’s. She was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. She is survived by her daughters; Cindy Lena of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vickie Palomino of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Mary Gonzales of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Arlinda “Buffy” Longria of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one brother Billy Joe Harjo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; Chebon Palomino, Desirae Palomino, Dustin Lena, Candace LeFlore, Hector Longoria, George Longoria, Vanessa Gonzales, and Chealsea Farris, six great grandchildren Montez Dent, Teagan Sheahart, Emselee Lena, Dustin Lena, Hunter Farris and Isaiah Farris. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Richard Lena on August 17, 2003, and a grandson, Baby Mecco Lena. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the Spring Baptist Church on Highway 56, west of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, with Rev. David Little officiating. Burial will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery, east of Sasakwa. Wake services will be held, Monday, March 17, 2014, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be, Chebon Palomino, Paul Factor, Dustin Lena, Jorge Longoria, Hector Longoria, Tyler Fields Jr., Matthew Chuculate and Billy Jo Harjo, Jr. Honorary bearers will be Jimmy Deathridge, Thomas Gonzales and Patrick Jack LeFlore Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
