Rosetta Lee (Lemmings) Bird, 79, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma resident and former Seminole, Oklahoma area resident, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Rosetta was born August 2, 1938 in Prague, Oklahoma, to Ralph Lee Lemmings and Virgie Virginia (Shoemaker) Lemmings. Rosetta married Rex Bird on August 3, 1957 in Seminole County, Oklahoma. Rosetta was an accountant for American Fidelity Assurance Company. She was a longtime member of the Highway Baptist Church north of Seminole, Oklahoma. She graduated from Prairie Valley High School and later attended Nichols Business School in Oklahoma City. Rosetta was an avid OU Sports fan, and loved following the football, basketball and softball programs and enjoyed collecting OU memorabilia. She enjoyed craft show and traveling with her husband, sister and brother-in-law. Rosetta is survived by her husband Rex Bird of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, her two daughters; Renae Bird of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Regena Jewell and her husband of Nashville, Tennessee, one brother; Tony Lemmings and his wife Mary of Claremore, Oklahoma, three sisters; Loretta Swan and her husband Larry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Linda Dodson of Seminole, Oklahoma and Judy Thacker and her husband Harris of Seminole, Oklahoma, two grandchildren Allisen Wayda and Dakota Russell and a great grandchild Luke Wayda. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday August 2, 2018 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Dustin Jewell, Dakota Russell, Steven Lemmings, Eddie Shoemaker and Greg Moore. Honorary bearers will be Dustin McCoy and Sheldon McCoy.
