Rosemary Brewer

Rosemary (Mullins) Brewer, 81, longtime Konawa resident died, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Colbert, Oklahoma. Mrs. Brewer was born April 5, 1933 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Bertha Ellen (Easley) and David Bradford Mullins. Rosemary attended and graduated from Vamoosa High School and has lived most all of her life in Konawa. She was a nurse’s aide for the Konawa Nursing Home and a Nursing Home in Wilson, Oklahoma and an in home health care worker for Seminole County for many years before her retirement in 2009. After her retirement she enjoyed cooking at the Konawa Senior Citizens Center and serving meals. She loved gardening and animals. Mrs., Brewer is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law; Bruce and Deborah Brewer of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and Doug and Angie Brewer of Gordonville, Texas; three sisters Bonnie Maggard of Sperry, Oklahoma, Geraldine Hendrix of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Laverne Battagilia of Phoenix, Arizona., four grandchildren; Tera Brewer of Ada, Oklahoma, Christina Brewer of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Megan and Justin McDaniel of Konawa, Oklahoma and Serena Brewer of Gordonville, Texas and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Homer Brewer, Jr., two brothers, David Roscoe Mullins and Ronald Douglas Mullins and a sister Joy Marie Moss. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma with burial at the Brewer Family Cemetery north of Konawa. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma.
