Rosemary Blanton was born on December 9, 1935 in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Maud High School in May 1954. After high school, Rosemary went to Kansas City to attend airline stewardess training. She worked out of California. As it turned out, she was too short to be a stewardess, so she worked at a desk. She met her husband Joe Blanton while in California. She came back to Maud to work at the bank and married Joe on June 21, 1955.
Rosemary and Joe worked in various cities-Abilene, TX, Tulsa and Norman as salespeople. Rosemary worked at Mobil before retiring. She loved to travel. She had the reputation of making the best candy of everyone!!!
Rosemary is survived by daughter, Becky Jo Hull of Sydney, Australia; daughter in law, Brenda Blanton of Wylie, TX; brother, Tom and Ginger Bohannon of The Villages, FL; brother, Gary and Sue Bohannon of Maud, OK and sister-in-law, Rosellen Bohannon of Wewoka, OK.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ruth Bohannon; sisters, Pauline Rackley, Bonita Tucker and Elaine Harris; brother’s, Claude Bohannon, Jr and son, Joe Linden Blanton, Jr. She also leaves behind grandchildren- Ariana Kincaid, Kayla Usrey and Joseph Blanton and great grandchildren- Jorden Davis, Benjamin Kincaid, Gabby Kincaid and Kylie Kincaid and Luna Usrey.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, OK.
