Rose Thoma

Rose Mary “Rosie” Thoma, 73 Rose “Rosie” Thoma a life long Seminole resident passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 73. “Rosie” was born November 22, 1938 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Roy Robbins and Margie (Chandler) Robbins. “Rosie” graduated from Strothers High School and attended the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church. She was employed for 34 years at Wrangler as an inspector and for five years she was in the house keeping department at the Seminole Hospital. “Rosie” loved her family, gardening, flowers, and being such a hard worker she loved cleaning her house, cooking. She also love to collect dolls which she had a large collection. “Rosie” married Harrel R. Thoma on March 17, 1955 at the First Assembly of God Church in Prague, Oklahoma. “Rosie” is survived by her husband Harrel, two sons, Larry Thoma and his wife Belinda of Elgin, Oklahoma, Steve Thoma and his wife Janice of Sasakwa, Oklahoma and one daughter, Sheila Gist and her husband Rickey of Seminole, Oklahoma. Three brothers, Don Robbins of Midwest City, Oklahoma, David Robbins of Texas, Jimmy Robbins of Pennsylvania and one sister, Nina Iley of Midwest City, Oklahoma also survive her. One uncle, Ben Chandler and his wife Patsy of Shamrock, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Stacy Pattison, Danny Gist, Brandy McMillian, Steve Aaron Thoma, Matthew Thoma, Jenifier Thoma, Hunter Thoma, Amber Warren, Josh Thoma Brittany Thoma and ten great grandchildren. “Rosie” was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Debra Rose. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole on Sunday, December 18, 2011. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church with Rev. Larry Thoma officiating he will assisted by Rev. Roy Robertson and Rev. Doyle Long. Burial will take place at the Little Cemetery of Little, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Danny Gist, Josh Thoma, Steve Thoma, Chris Warren, Mike McMillan, Dathan Thomas, and Matthew Thoma.
