Rosalie (Rains) Howard Bounds, age sixty-six and lifelong resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Norman Regional Hospital. A wake service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26th at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, and funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 27th at the Chapel. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Arthur Carpitcher will officiate. Pallbearers are Shane Impson, Mike Taylor, John Suchanek, Glen Dale Bounds, Dale Hankins, and Frank Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are Cody Key and Bryan Bentley. Rosalie was born on October 26, 1945 in Konawa to David Edgar Rains and Mattie (Morgan) Rains Carpitcher. She married Jerry Bounds on April 26, 1979 in Konawa and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Konawa. She enjoyed reading, visiting the family, and taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Bounds of the home; three sons Raymond Kirby Howard of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Jeremy Bounds, of Konawa and Jonathan Bounds, also of Konawa; two daughters, Sherry Bentley of Hitchcock, Texas, and LaDonna Howard of Konawa; two brothers, Charles Rains of Ravenden, Arkansas, and Arthur Carpitcher of Konawa; one sister, Christine Leatherman of Saginaw, Texas; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Rains and Mattie Carpitcher; three sons, Jimmy Don Howard, Gerald Howard, and Darrel Howard; two brothers, Eddie Ray Rains and Leroy Rains; and one sister, Shirley Rains.
