Ronnie Gene Johnson

Ronnie Gene Johnson, Shawnee, OK resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in Oklahoma City at the age of 69.  Ronnie was born on August 16, 1954 in Oklahoma City, OK  to Albert Eugene Johnson and Myrtle Lois (Fixico) Johnson.  His career as a CNC machinist included his work at Eaton and Central Plastics up until his retirement.  He also worked at R.W. Lyle in Seminole.

Ronnie enjoyed sports and he was an avid OU Sooner and Thunder fan.  He was a bowler and liked going to the casino.  Ronnie loved his grandkids.  His family looked up to him as the oldest child in the family and as the oldest grandchild of Edmond and Maggie Fixico.  He was always eager to help others when he was needed.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Juanita Mae (Ketcheshawno) Johnson; two sons, Christopher Eugene Johnson and Phillip Anthony Johnson; one daughter, Patricia Kay Johnson; two step-daughters, Teresa Renee Wheatley and Jennifer Dawn Johnson and husband, Josh; five brothers, Steve Johnson, Bruce Johnson and wife, Ramona, Grayling Johnson and wife, Mary Lou, Leam Johnson and wife, Paula and George Lewis Johnson and wife, Linda; sister, Emma Johnson; grandchildren, Morgan, Nena, Shade, Turner, Savannah, Caitlin and Ainsley; a host of great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Walter Mack Johnson, Josie Ed Johnson and Curtis Ray Johnson.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Joshua Johnson, Shade Franklin, Ronnie Whiteshirt Jr., Christopher Johnson, Phillip Johnson and Santana Littlebear Johnson.  Honorary casket bearers will be Steve Johnson, Bruce Johnson, Emma Johnson, Grayling Johnson, Leam Johnson, George Johnson and Steven Johnson.

Viewing will be Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.  A wake will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Snake Creek Baptist Church #2 in Seminole, OK.  Rev. Bill Hobia Jr. will be officiating.  Rev. Charles Lastly will be speaking.  Interment will follow at Snake Creek #2 Cemetery.
