Ronnie Lee Harjo Longtime Seminole resident Ronnie Lee Harjo passed away on March 28, 2010 at Carl Albert Indian Hospital at the age of 53. He was born on August 5, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Isaac Harjo and Juanita (Little) Wise. He graduated from Varnum High School and was a college graduate from Haskell Jr. College. He attended Hitchitee United Methodist Church in Seminole, he was a member of the Mekusekey Baptist Church. He retired in 1992 from Law Enforcement where he served as a Police Officer at Elmore City, Oklahoma and worked security for Seminole Nation and Carl Albert Hospital and Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, he was also a booking officer at Shawnee Police Department. He is survived by his mother Juanita Wise of Seminole, three sons, Ronnie Harjo, Jr. of Moore, Terry Harjo and Randy of Oklahoma City, two brothers; Steven Harjo of Seminole and Howard Hugh Harjo of Sapulpa and two sisters Rowena Gonzales of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Amy Fixico of Seminole. He is also survived by six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by father, Isaac Harjo, step-father, Roosevelt Barnett, brother, Buddy Harjo, grandparents Buddy Little, Alice Miller and Lonnie Harjo. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Hitchitee United Methodist Church in Seminole with a burial to follow at Hitchitee Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Thomas Little and Mildred Harjo. A wake service will be held at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 6-7 P.M. Wednesday wake services will be held at the Hitchitee United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be: Ramon Gonzales, Steven Barnett, Neal Harjo, Isaac Harjo, Anthony Fixico, Ray Jackson, Jerrald Fixico, Buddy K. Harjo, Jr. Honorary Bearers will be; John Porter, Joe Ahhaitty, Bruce Harjo, Nathan Harjo and Percy Harjo.
