Ronald Wayne Osborn

Ronald Wayne Osborn, age 55 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on July 19th, 2018, in Ada, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa at the Southwest Church of Christ in Ada, Oklahoma, with Floyd Kaiser officiating and congregational singing led by brother-in-law, Steve Johnson. Ronald was born August 24th, 1962 to William Ronald Osborn and Phyllis Ann (Towery) Osborn in Oklahoma City. He was raised in the Holdenville area & graduated from Holdenville High School with the class of 1980. He married Robin Earlene Lee on April 30, 1983 at the Britton Road Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. To this union two children were born; John William and Ronald Lee (Ronnie). Ron graduated from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma in 1985 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Education. He went on to earn two master’s degrees and an administration certification all from East Central. Ron retired after 30 years in education working as a teacher and counselor for area high schools, including Konawa, Wetumka, and Sasakwa. He was an avid reader, and he enjoyed deer hunting in his younger days. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. He was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ in Ada and a former preacher at several area Churches of Christ. Ron is survived by two sons, John Osborn and wife, Michelle of Konawa, and Ronnie Osborn and wife, Valarie of Ada;  his mother, Phyllis Osborn of Holdenville; one sister Betty (Osborn) Johnson and husband, Steve of Seminole; two sisters-in-law,  Anette (Lee) Escott , and husband, Glenn of Arlington, Texas, and Lori (Lee) VanDyke of Arlington, Texas; one brother-in-law, David Lee and wife, Melissa of Cameron, Texas; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Dakota, and Amber of Konawa, nine nieces and nephews; Amanda, Josh, Katy, Brandon, Cheyenne, Stephanie, Dakota, Blake, and Grace, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-five years, Robin Osborn on March 20, 2009; his father, William Ronald Osborn on April 4, 2016; his infant baby brother on July 19, 1964; and his grandparents; Uyless and Gladys Osborn & Tom and Ruby Towery.
