Ronald "Big Ronnie" Joe Aldredge, II

January 15, 1976 — April 21, 2025

Konawa

Ronald (Big Ronnie) Joe Aldredge II, 49, of Konawa, Oklahoma, went to be with Jesus on April 21, 2025 after complications related to stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which he battled for 1 year, 6 months, and 23 days. Throughout his journey, he remained a pillar of strength—a protector, provider, and mentor to his wife and children, whom he loved endlessly. Ronnie won his battle, because losing was never an option. He defied all odds. His family watched as he endured immense suffering, yet he never gave up, showing his strength until his very last breath.

Services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Konawa High School, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Pastor Heath Sapp will officiate, and casket bearers are Josh Harrison, Cooper Ray, Kevin Aldredge, Ronnie Aldredge, Garrett Aldredge, and Rhett Aldredge.

Ronnie was passionate about fishing and hunting throughout his life. He loved sharing that passion with his wife, children, and grandchild—teaching them survival skills and independence. He was wise beyond comprehension; with just a phone call, he always seemed to know what to do in any situation. A true patriarch, his life cannot be summarized in just a few paragraphs. His departure has left a void in our lives, but we are forever thankful for the many years we had with him. His legacy will live on through his wife, children, and grandchildren. Ronnie became a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa and was baptized by the Holy Spirit in 2020. If you knew him, you were privileged to have known one of the greatest men of our lifetime.Ronnie was born on January 15, 1976, to Gail Ann Bryant and Ronald Joe Aldredge in Ft. Riley, Kansas. He was an Industrial Maintenance Technician in the oil and gas industry for 20 years. His career began with maintaining and commissioning G.E. wind turbines and later took him to a machine shop at Georg Fischer Central Plastics. He enjoyed his work and made many lasting friendships along the way.He was married to Jennifer Annette (Monroe) Aldredge on August 21, 2002, in Oklahoma City. Together they have four children and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of the home; three sons, Garrett Aldredge, Ronnie Aldredge, and Rhett Aldredge; one daughter, Rhegan Aldredge; two grandsons, Stetson Aldredge and Remington Aldredge; his brother, Kevin Aldredge of Konawa; his sister and her spouse, Billie and Tony Grewing of Muenster, Texas; and his mother, Gail Bryant of Newalla.
