Roland Edward Mullins, age 54 and a life-long resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Willie Williams will officiate. Pallbearers are Tommy Gibson, Zeb Kuestersteffen, Daren Oliphant, Justin Cathy, Michael Palmer, Lee Mullins, and Randy Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are Sebastian Palmer, Keegon W. Mullins, Talen Cathy, and Jimmy Morehead. Roland was born on August 24, 1959 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Louie Mullins and Mae (Heard) Mullins. He graduated from Konawa High School and worked as an oilfield driller. He married Dianna (Anderson) on January 20, 1979 in Konawa. Roland loved his grandchildren, driving back-roads and listening to music, and drinking iced cold ones. He leaves behind, his wife of thirty-five years, Dianna Mullins of the home; his mother, Mae Mullins of Konawa; one son, Lee Edward Mullins, of Konawa; four daughters, Shala Palmer and husband, Michael of Elgin, Oklahoma, Lindsey Mullins and Matt of Sparta, Tennessee, Racine Cathy and husband, Justin of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and Annie Mae Mullins of Konawa; one brother, Steve Mullins of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; one sister, Debbie Kuestersteffen and husband, Leo of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; and nine grandchildren, Lillyan, Sebastian, Keegon, Talen, Paisley, Mattalin, Isabella, Seanna, and Maddison.
