Roger Jackson (Jackie) Marquis, 59 year old Seminole resident, passed from this life July 22, 2006 at Seminole Medical Center in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was born July 3, 1947 in Prague, Oklahoma to parents, Roger L. Marquis and Joeanna (Jackson) Anna Marquis.rnrnJackie married Janet Cene' Stringfield, on June 21, 1968 at the Church of Christ in Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnJack received his Bachelors Degree from The University of Oklahoma and his Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Oklahoma City University. He worked for the Norman Police Department retiring after 26 years of service. He also retired from the Oklahoma Army National Guard.rnrnHe lived in the Seminole County area most of his life, living in Norman from 1968 until 2002, when he returned to Seminole.rnrnMr. Marquis was a member of the Church of Christ in Little, Oklahoma and was currently attending the Church of Christ in Cromwell, Oklahoma.rnrnMarquis, leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Janet Cene' Marquis of the home,rnhis mother, Anna Marquis of Seminole, Oklahoma, one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy & Natalie (Ray) Marquis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one daughter and son-in-law, Khara (Marquis) & Garrick Ritzky of Norman, Oklahoma.rnrnMr. Marquis was preceded in death by his father, Roger L. Marquis.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Church of Christ in Little, Oklahoma with Rusty Dawson & James Branscum officiating with special prayers being offered by Winfred Lowe and Mike Cofer. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery North of Seminole. The family requests that donations be made to the Marquis Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Mary French, 11497 N.S. 3620, Seminole, Oklahoma 74868.
