Roger Wayne Cunningham

Roger Wayne Cunningham, 55 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident, died in a tragic oilfield accident  on January 22, 2018 near Quinton, Oklahoma, in Pittsburg County. Roger was born on August 7, 1962 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Buddy Addison Cunningham and Jacque Lynn (Shipley) Cunningham. Roger was a Senior Directional Driller for Skyline Directional Drilling Company. He was a graduate of Wewoka High School in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, farming, watching the history channel and spending time with his family and gambling. Roger married Betty Mitchell Cunningham on November 30, 2005 in Montego Bay, Jamaica and she survives  him of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma.  He is also survived  by  2 sons, Ryne Hoey of the Dominican Republic and Harrison Hoey of Seminole, Oklahoma, 2 daughters, Krystal Anglin and her husband David Anglin of Whitesboro, Texas, Jade Barnett and her husband Spencer Barnett of Durant, Oklahoma , one sister Mona Good and her husband Mike of Seminole, Oklahoma, three grandchildren, Xavier Idleman and Dominic Idleman of Whitesboro, Texas; Maddox Barnett of Durant, Oklahoma; and by a host of other family and dear friends. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Jacque Lynn Cunningham and by his grandparents. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole with Nick Atyia officiating the service.
