Rodney Lynn Bronniman, age 55 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the P.A.C. Building located at Konawa High School under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Rev. Charley Henthorn will officiate and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Pallbearers are Clayton Phillips, Jason Paul McIlvain, Joe McIlvain, Heath Nail, Brett Nail, Kelsey Pierce, and Jonathan McIlvain. Rodney was born on January 9, 1960 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Robert Lee Bronniman and Helen Mae (Swanson) Bronniman-White. He received an Associate in Applied Science in Diesel Mechanics and worked as the Fleet Specialist for the Department of Corrections. He married Marsha Phillips on September 26, 1981 at the Assembly of God Church of Konawa. Rodney served on the Konawa School Board from November 2004 until March 2011, and he served as a Board Member for the Central Oklahoma Family Medical Center of Konawa from 2002 until 2005. Rodney was a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa where he served as a Deacon, and he worked with the youth program and also taught Sunday School. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Bronniman of the home; two sons, Josh Bronniman and wife, Ashley of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Logan Bronniman and wife, Brandi of Kodiak, Alaska; one brother, Tom Bronniman and wife, Sonja of Lamar, Colorado; two sisters, Jo Ann Pierce and husband, Joe of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Patsy McIlvain and husband, Mike of Woodward, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Cooper Lynn, Emma Rai, and Jace Dylan.
