Robin Ann (Stanberry) Turnbow

Robin Ann (Stanberry) Turnbow a Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 55.  Robin was born February 27, 1963 in Orange County, California to parents, Bobby Allen Stanberry and Betty (Foster) Stanberry. After attending Wolf and Bowlegs public schools, Robin worked as a detention officer at Carter Hall Juvenile Detention Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She then worked as a caregiver to the young and elderly. Robin enjoyed doing crafts; horseback riding; baking; taking nature walks with her grandchildren and was an avid animal lover. Robin is survived by one son, James Turnbow of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; four daughters, Melanie Smith and her husband, Brad Smith of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Racheal Stanberry of Seminole, Oklahoma, Bessie Turnbow of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Haylee Horton of Seminole, Oklahoma; three brothers, Mike Stanberry and his wife Bobbie Wheeler Stanberry of Seminole, Oklahoma, Robert Stanberry and his wife Janell Stanberrry of Meeker, Oklahoma, David Donahue of San Diego, California; four sisters, Debbie Donahue of Wolf, Oklahoma, Paulette Fennell of Loveland, Colorado, Denise Perreira of Castro Valley, California, Diane Sparks of Castro Valley, California; her former husband, Edward "Sonny" Turnbow of Maud, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Bryson Smith, Kyra Stanberry, Owbba Williams, Tava Williams and by several nieces, nephews and a host of family and dear friends. Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Betty Stanberry. A wake service will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Funeral services for Robin will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Burns officiating the service. Interment will follow at Wolf Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: Robert Wilsie Stanberry, Brad Smith, Marshall Turnbow, Jimmy Don Tatum, Cody Sandlin and Dylan Graham. Honorary Bearers will be: Robert Stanberry, Woody West, Sterling “Buddy” Wood, Edward “Sonny” Turnbow, Beau Stanberry, Mike Stanberry, Danny Cole, Phillip “P.C.” Clower, Eugene White and Robbie Wood.
