Robert Wandell  “ Bob “ Sullivan, 88, longtime Seminole resident died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at his home in Seminole. Bob was born February 2, 1922 in Shamrock, Oklahoma to Lars Reuben and Bess (Wood) Sullivan. Bob came to Seminole in 1930 from Webb City, Oklahoma. Bob served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II, he held the rank of Second Lieutenant and was a B-17 Pilot during World War II from 1944 to 1945. Mr. Sullivan owned and operated Bob Sullivan Insurance Agency in Seminole for many years and was active in many civic activities. He was past President of the Seminole Lions Club, Seminole Board of Realtors past president, and was a member of the Seminole Masonic Lodge. Bob Loved to fish and play Tennis. He was a private pilot and in past years served as a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America local pack. He was a comic contributor to the Seminole Producer and producer of Real Estate Ads. Bob was married to Erma Lee (Haley) Sullivan on May 6, 1944 at the Post Chapel at Perrin Field, Texas. She was the Mother of their children Robert, Jr. and Coby and she preceded him in death on May 6, 1989. Later Bob married Patricia Ann Smith on August 15, 1992 in Seminole, Oklahoma. His wife Patricia Ann Sullivan of Seminole, Oklahoma, his son Robert W. Sullivan, Jr. of Afton, Oklahoma and daughter Coby Miller of Tulsa, Oklahoma, survives Bob. He is also survived by granddaughters Abby Edwards and Kate Sullivan of Tulsa, Oklahoma and grandson Robert Sullivan of Tulsa, Oklahoma and niece Jeanie Roberts of Walnut, California and nephews Joel Roberts of Morrison, Colorado and Bill Roberts of Nevada. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Don Gill officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the V.F.W. Post # 1317 of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
