Robert Nicol

Robert Vernon Nicol, 77 year old Bowlegs resident passed from this life Monday, November 27, 2006 at Solara Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born October 1, 1929 in Houston, Texas to parents, Roy Vernon Nicol and Jessie Mary (Goodman) Nicol.rnrnMr. Nicol, moved to the Seminole County area about four months ago from El Campo, Texas, to spend time with his daughter. He served in the United States Airforce as a drill sergeant during World War II.rnrnMr. Nicol worked for Monsanto Pipelines in League City, Texas as a pipe fitter until his retirement.rnrnSurvivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Stacey & Monte Grounds of Bowlegs, Oklahoma. One sister, Jessie "Polly" Cousten of Houston, Texas. Four grandchildren and one great grandchild.rnrnMr. Nicol is preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Emelia Erleen Rothwell.rnrnPrivate family services are scheduled.rnrnCremation service in under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
