Robert Dean Leck, age 47, passed away January 6, 2020 at his home in Somonauk, Illinois. He was born December 2, 1972 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Walter Karl Leck and Susan Kay (McCown) Leck. Robert was a high school graduate. He grew up in Calumet, Oklahoma and spent the last eighteen years of his life in Sandwich, Illinois. He served his country in the United States Air Force, attained the rank of Airman and served in Desert Storm II. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sandwich, Illinois. He was a huge OU Sooners football fan. He enjoyed fishing and computer gaming. Robert battled Huntington’s Disease for eighteen years and promoted advocacy and awareness for the disease. He was a member of the Illinois chapter of H.D.S.A. and a member of the National Youth Alliance of Huntington’s Disease Society of America. Robert is survived by his mother Susan (Leck) Hodgson and father David Hodgson, his son; Samuel Swanson and wife Krishana of Wellston, Oklahoma, his brothers; Joseph Leck and his wife Michelle of Kingfisher, Oklahoma and James Leck of Somonauk, Illinois, sisters; Kathryn (Kate) Hodgson of Somonauk, Illinois, Sarah (Hodgson) Bock and her husband David of Augusta, Georgia and Emily Hodgson of Somonauk, Illinois, grandchildren; Keegan and Kyzer and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Karl (Bud) Leck. Funeral services for Robert will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Bowlegs, Oklahoma with Randy McCown officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, in Little, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Joseph Leck, James Leck, Gary Belcher, Josh Dunagan, Jeremiah Dunagan and Rodney Troglin. Honorary bearers will be Gabriel McCown, Bryan Goodwin, Josh West, Jason Goodwin and Zac Hart.
