Robert Lee “ Bob “ Gregory, Jr., 64, lifelong Maud resident died Friday, February 1, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bob was born January 23, 1949 in Maud, Oklahoma to Robert Lee Gregory, Sr. and Cordelia (Mathes) Gregory. Bob grew up in Maud and attended Maud Public Schools and graduated from Maud High School. Bob entered the U.S. Army and served nine years and was a Staff Sergeant. Bob worked in the oilfields in Seminole area; he also worked at Power Transmission and McMillian Chevrolet as an Auto Mechanic. He also owned Gregory Auto repair. Bob had also worked for Seminole County District # 1 and Pottawatomie County District 3. Bob was active in the Maud community, where he served on the Maud School Board for 16 years and enjoyed running the scoreboard at the Maud High School football games. Bob married Juanita Irene Carpenter in Prague, Oklahoma on October 13, 1978. Bob is survived by his wife Juanita Gregory of Maud, Oklahoma, two daughters Robyn Lynn Gregory of Edmond, Oklahoma and Karen Yavonne Dye of Daytona Beach, Florida; his granddaughter Ezabella Reanna Dye of Daytona Beach, Florida. He is also survived by his step father Raymond Blain who lives in the Strothers area north of Seminole, three brothers Alvin Gregory and his wife Pam of Maud, Oklahoma, Anthony Gregory and his wife Charolette of Harrah, Oklahoma and James Blain and His wife Verdonna of Maud, Oklahoma and a step brother Frank Blain and his wife Linda of Enid, Oklahoma and a step sister Debbie Blain of the Strothers area, and one granddaughter, Ezabella Reanna Dye. His mother and father preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery, in Maud, Oklahoma with military honors. Rev. Bobby Shatto and Rev. Rusty McMullen. Casket bearers will be Stanley Gregory, Tony Lee Gregory, Brandon Blain, Colton Wood, Gage Wood, and Eric Collins. Honorary bearers will be Justin Carpenter, Chad Quary, Shawn Kubicek, Bob Bassett, Little John Smith and Tony Caudle. Funeral services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma.
