Longtime Seminole resident Robert Lee "Bob" Gist passed away on January 31, 2007 at the age of 73 at his home. rnrnHe was born on December 2, 1933 to Charles Robert and Stella (Blankenship) Gist in Seminole, Oklahoma. He married Lucille (Evans) on April 11, 1953 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He worked for twenty-three years at Wolverine Tube as a maintenance superintendent where he retired on February 1, 1996. He served on the Varnum School Board and was an avid horseman. He attended the Glad Tidings Church and was a graduate of Varnum High School.rnrnHe is survived by his wife: Lucille Gist of the home, one daughter and son-in-law: Becky and Don Inman of Seminole, three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert Lee, Jr. and Tammy Gist of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Rick and Sheila Gist of Seminole, Oklahoma, Randy and Beth Gist of Nixa, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Sherry and Candice Gist, Stacy Pattison, Danny Gist, Brandy McMillan, Josh Salyers, Tyler Inman, Bobbie Clark, Ashley Clark and Chad Inman. Seven great grandchildren: Autumn Gist, Dathon Thomas, Bailey Smock, Ashlynn McMillan, Austin, Andrew and Abby Inman. rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, and sisters, and one granddaughter: Pattie Gist.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Friday, February 2, 2007 at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Pollard and Rev. Doyle Long officiating.
