Robert Gene Dutton was born March 7, 1975, to Bob and Loretta (Long) Dutton, in Shawnee, OK and entered into Heaven’s gates on February 21, 2022. Robert enjoyed spending time with his 2 daughters, loved playing video games, loved fishing when he was younger and enjoyed talking with his dad. Robert had a big heart and was caring. He would help anyone who asked him for help. He grew up in Pottawatomie County most of his life and out of 7 kids he was the baby of the family. He attended school at Earlsboro and Shawnee. Eventually Robert decided he wanted to go to job corp and finish his schooling. Robert was very proud of his 2 daughters. He was loved by all who knew him and met him. He was known for his quick wit come backs when joking around and he enjoyed making people laugh.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, grandfather, Thomas Long and grandparents, James and Pauline Dutton.
Robert is survived by his father, Bob Dutton, of the home; 2 daughters, Casey Dutton and significant other, Tyler Lovell of Willston, North Dakota and Olivia Dutton of Ikuwani, Japan; brother, Tom Wells (Melanie) of Grapevine, TX, Hayley McLeskey (Bruce) of Shawnee, OK, Todd Wells of Norman, OK, Tyler Wells of Ardmore, OK, Lori Powell (Bobby) of Shawnee, OK and Jamie Dutton of Shawnee, OK; nieces, Jennifer Wells (Chad) of Bethel, OK, Michelle McLeskey of Shawnee, OK and Rachel Brandon (Scott) of Bethel, OK; nephews, David Dunn, Ray Wells (Deena) of Tecumseh, OK, Matthew Volpe (Alexandria) of Shawnee, OK; uncle, Stanley Long of Maud, OK; aunt, Bonnie Hunt (George) of Earlsboro, OK; numerous great nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Tom Wells, Ray Wells, Matthew Volpe, Scott Brandon, Chad Lower and Bruce McLeskey.
A wake will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK, with Richard Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Achena Burial Grounds in Maud, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
