Robert Brashears

Robert Earl Brashears, 68 Robert Earl Brashears, Seminole county, Oklahoma resident passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in Warner, Oklahoma at the age of 68. Robert was born, July 4, 1948 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents, Raymond Jerry Brashears and Bonnie Ruth (Graves) Brashears.  Robert was raised in Seminole, Oklahoma. He moved to Braggs, Oklahoma in 1978 and raised his family, then returned to Seminole in 1995. Robert served in the United States Army. Robert was an exceptional welder. His welding ability took him on many travels across the country building power plants and off shore production platforms. He worked for large companies such as Brown Daniels, Zachary and Abbco. Robert spent the last 12 years of his career with HMH Construction retiring in 2009. Robert is survived by the mother of his children and former wife, Brenda Walden Brashears; two daughters, Lisa Whaling of Helotes, Texas, Summer Brashears of Warner, Oklahoma; one brother, Billy Brashears of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sisters, Karen Myrick of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Patsy Farrow of Seminole, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Waylon Young, Avery Whaling, Evan Whaling, Davis Whaling, Clay Robert Brashears and a great grandchild baby, Young, who is expected to arrive in November. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Bonnie Brashears. Memorial services will be held, 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Seminole, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
