Robert Nathaniel Bailey

Robert Nathaniel Bailey, age 76 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Colonial Estates in Shawnee, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be planned at a later date, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Robert was born on October 27, 1938 in Asher, Oklahoma to Enis Bailey and Evelyn (Conn) Bailey.  He graduated from Asher High School and married Wilda Rush.  He worked as a foreman of the road crew for Pottawatomie County and was a former Mayor of Asher.  Robert loved riding mules. He is survived by one son, Gary Bailey of Stonewall, Oklahoma; one daughter, Leisa McMillin of Asher, Oklahoma; two brothers, Lloyd Bailey of Oklahoma City, and Donnie Bailey of Shawnee; three sisters, Marilyn Jackson of Burleson, Texas, Pat Gurney of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Cathy Zeelenberg of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
