Ritchie Rodriguez

Ritchie Rodriguez, 45 year old Tulsa, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois, June 14, 1971. Ritchie is survived by a daughter, Ricki (22) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, by his mother, Agustina “Dena” (Warledo) Rodriguez of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his companion, Sheila Gully of Kansas. Brothers; Gary Rodriguez of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Barney Leader of Shawnee, Oklahoma; sisters, Cheryl Coker of Chicago, Illinois, Lori Baldwin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Carol Banos and husband of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Stephanie Leader-Prysork of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Barbara Warledo and her husband of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brigita Leader of Wewoka, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. Ritchie was preceded in death by his father, Leon Rodriguez in 1986. Ritchie was greatly loved by his nieces and nephews, he enjoyed fishing, football, telling “Tall Tales”, music, cooking and enjoyed the heck out of eating ribs.  He spent 14 years in Kansas working and returned home to Tulsa, where he worked in apartment maintenance. A wake service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2016 at Hitchitee Methodist Church located 5 miles east of Little Cemetery on Hwy. 99A then ¼ mile north.  The body will be taken to the Church at 4:00 p.m., Friday. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Hitchitee Methodist Church with Donnie Wolf and Houston Tiger officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Hitchitee Church Cemetery. Casket Bearers are: Stephen "Z" Walker, Chris Harjo, Ty Julius, Jeff Reddout, Jimmy Harjo and Jason Spivvy. Honorary Bearers will be: Edgar Banos, Luis Conteraz, Aaron Rodriguez, Jacob Jessup, and Calvin Cooper. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
