Ricky Don Harjo

Ricky Don Harjo, 43, Seminole, Oklahoma resident, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ricky was born April 21, 1975 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Ricky was a Wildland Firefighter for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He loved being with his family and friends, he loved laughing, OSU football, telling jokes and funny stories and in December of 2016, Ricky accepted Jesus as his savior in Christ. Ricky is survived by his son Shae Stone of the home , two daughters Lita Overbey of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Darrah Bly Harjo of the home, two brothers Adjal Fixico of Seminole, Oklahoma and Isaiah Fixico of Sayre, Oklahoma, one Sister Kimberly Emarthle of Seminole, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother Deborah Emarthle, Grandmother Mary Jane Harjo, Grandfather Johnson Harjo, Cousin Joshua Cedartree and Uncle Curtis Harjo. Ricky’s body will be taken to the home for viewing on Sunday, August 26, 2018. He will be taken to Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church, southwest of Wewoka, Oklahoma on Monday, August 27, 2018 for wake services starting at 6:00 P.M. and lasting all night. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the church with Eric Thlocco and Kevin Fox officiating. Burial will be at the Harjo Family Cemetery, east of Bowlegs on Highway 59. Casket bearers will be; Terrance Emarthle, Torrin Emarthle, Nigel Stansfield, Shae Stone, Austin Cvto Harjo, and Steven Stone. Honorary bearers will be Benjamin Emarthle, Bruce Tiger, Cheparney Cedartree, Waylon Cully, Bryant Panasoke and Randall Harjo.
