Rickie Mitchell

Rickie Dean Mitchell, 63 year old longtime Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Friday, December 21, 2018 in Holdenville, Oklahoma.  He was born August 28, 1955 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Cleo Bell (Cleary) Mitchell and Harvie Lee Mitchell. Rickie graduated from Maud High School in 1973 and went on to attend 2 years at Gordon Cooper Vocational School in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Rickie was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Maud.  He has also worked at TDK in Shawnee for 25 years before his retirement. Survivors include two sisters, Ella “Harlene” (Mitchell) Long and her husband Noland of Maud, Oklahoma, “Judy” Dianne Mitchell of Maud, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, “Susan” Diane (Brewer) Beam and her husband Patrick of Maud, Oklahoma, Jimmy Brewer and his wife Stephanie of Maud, Oklahoma, Stacy (Mitchell) Hensley and her husband Jason of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Rickie is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo Bell (Cleary) Mitchell and Harvie Lee Mitchell, by two brothers, Tommie Mitchell and Johnny Mitchell, and by one sister, Mary Jane Mitchell. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Maud First Baptist Church located at 801 North Green Street in Maud, with Pastor Bobby Shatto officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma where Rickie will be laid to rest by his parents. Casket Bearers will be: Jimmy Brewer, Cody Brewer, Jason Brewer, Andrew Brewer, Patrick Beam, Johnny McCracken and Noland Long.
