Richmond Jone Cully, age 82 and long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and burial will follow at the Cully Family Cemetery. Casket bearers are Jeremiah Cully, Justin Cully, Dalton Gaines, Reece Cosar, Mikkah Cosar, and Jacob Johnson. Honorary bearers are Christopher Cully, Stephen Cully, Clifton Brock, Floyd Johnson, and Gregory Buck. Richmond was born January 16, 1937 in Vamoosa, Oklahoma, to John Cully and Nancy (Lee) Cully. He graduated from Franklin High School in Oklahoma City, and married Mary Louise Ripley on May 12, 1961. Richmond was a truck driver for Covenant, LLC, and he loved fishing and hanging out with his family and friends. He also loved watching sports on television. He is survived by two sons, Michael Cully and John Cully, both of Ada, Oklahoma; six daughters, Pamela Brock and Edwina McCulley, both of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Vernie Cully of Vamoosa, Rocki Ricquel McCarthy of Konawa, Levina (Cully) Stick and Barbara Gaines, both of Ada; one sister, Peggy Mahone of Oklahoma City; twenty grandchildren and forty great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nancy Cully; his wife, Mary Cully on December 9, 2016; one brother, Esloney Cully; and one sister, Irene Brown.
