Richard Joseph Slater

Richard Slater, 87, died of natural causes, at his home on Saturday, January 22, 2022.  In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and spent a lot of time at a favorite spot in Pitcairn, NY.  He was a master house painter and wallpaper hanger, following in his father’s footsteps.  He was a champion bowler and pool player.  He was the very best at everything he did.  He was known as Triple X at the bowling alley and Slate Dog by many of his friends.  He also served in the Navy.

Richard is survived by his children, Elain Chasse, Richard Slater, Melvena Slater, Kelly Slater and Delana Slater; one brother; two sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
