Richard Frank LoPresto, age 70 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be planned at a later date, and is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Richard was born January 4, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to Henry “Hank” LoPresto and Patsy Ellen (Kelly) LoPresto. He graduated from Valley High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and married Rita Joyce Harris June 28, 1969 in Albuquerque. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the City of Peoria as an off-site inspector in 2006. Along with his full time job, he was also a rodeo stock contractor in Arizona. He volunteered and assisted with the following projects in Konawa: the sidewalks, splash pad, water lines at treatment plant, restoration of water storage tanks, restoration of the Senior Center, and other projects that the City Council asked for throughout the years. He was a wonderful father, friend and husband and will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Rita LoPresto of the home; two sons, Brian C. LoPresto and wife, Jodi of Lexington, Oklahoma, and Brent M. LoPresto of Peoria, Arizona; one daughter, Tammy B. LoPresto of Maud, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
