Richard Hester

Richard Floyd Hester, 73 Richard Hester, long time Seminole county resident passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Seminole, Oklahoma. Richard was born August 3, 1937 at El Centro, California to parents Vernar Loyd and Lena (King) Hester. He moved to Seminole in 1989. Richard, after graduating from Strother High School in 1955 he served in the United States Navy for 24 years as a Senior Chief Coreman. Richard was loyal to his family and a good father and husband. Richard married Lois E. (Rigrish) Hester on March 26, 1960 at El Centro, California. Richard is survived by his wife, Lois of 50 years, sons, Wesley D. Hester of Grant New Mexico, and daughter, Joyce Hester of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also survived by brothers Adrian Hester of Seminole, Oklahoma, John Hester, Spencer, Oklahoma,  and half-brother, Bruce Foster of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Pat Taylor of ElReno, Oklahoma and two half-sisters, Freda Wickware of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kay Camp of Yukon, Oklahoma; two grandchildren in LaModena, Italy and a host of other family and dear friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. A private family Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Cremations services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole, Oklahoma.
