Ric Carter

Ric David Carter Ric Carter passed away on April 19, 2010 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 47. He was born on November 17, 1962 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Benny David and Bonnie (Graves) Carter. Ric graduated from Seminole High School in 1981. He married Kathryn Jane (Hammond) on October 31, 2008.  He was a construction worker and a caretaker for family members, he also did survey work for the last 15 years.  He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He is survived by his wife Kathryn Carter of the home, mother Bonnie Carter of Seminole, step-son, Tanner Wallace of Colby, Kansas, two sisters, Tamara Hickman of Wewoka and Sheila Purkey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Kadence and Bailey Wallace.  Several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends, also survive him. He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Carter on July 18, 2009, grandparents, Ben Carter, November 5, 1988, Edith Carter, October 30, 1983, Rev. Cagle Graves, December 17, 1991, Vernie Graves, January 1, 1996, and a nephew, Joshua Purkey December 14, 2003. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma.   Funeral Information: April 21, 2010, 2:00 PM Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel located at 1001 N.
