Lifelong Konawas resident Rex W. Lowry, 75 passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007 at his home. He was born February 26, 1932 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Raymond Dee and Leona (Wortham) Lowry. Rex Graduated from Konawa High School and attended East Central University in Ada for two years and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He Married Wanda Dean Gaines on September 15, 1951 inSherman, Texas.rnrnMr. Lowry was a cattle rancher and also raised thoroughbred race horses and quarter horses. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa.rnHe was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Dee and Leona Lowry, One sister Billie Diane Lowry.rnrnSurvivors include his wife Wanda Lowry of the Home, 3 sons , Timothy E. Lowry and wife, Kathy of Konawa, Ronald R. Lowry and wife Meredith of Konawa, Ricky W. Lowry of Crawley, Colorado., One daughter, Deborah L.
