Rev. Alvin Stevens

Rev. Alvin Millard Stevens, 89, was called home to be with the Lord at his Bonners Ferry home while surrounded by family on June 27, 2018. Alvin was a former longtime Seminole, Oklahoma  resident. He was born Feb 5, 1929 in Cromwell, OK to John and Mary Stevens of Seminole, OK. He served in the military during WWII and was honorably discharged. Afterwards he married Irma Jean Pryor on April 4, 1947 and became an ordained minister. He pastored and preached revivals at many Pentecostal churches throughout the years in California, Kansas, and Oklahoma before settling in Bonners Ferry, ID in 2005. He had 3 children. Nancy Thornbrugh Martinez (Marty) who lives in Naples, ID. He's proceeded in death by his son's Richard Stevens, Terry Stevens, son in law Mike Thornbrugh, granddaughter Irmajean Spencer, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He's survived by his wife of 71 years; Irma Jean Stevens, his daughter Nancy, 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
