Raymond Spoonemore

Raymond L. Spoonemore, 89 year-old, longtime Seminole County resident, passed from this life Saturday, April 12, 2008 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born May 23, 1918 in Seminole County, Oklahoma to parents Maggie (Reback) Spoonemore and Edward Ambrose Spoonemore.rnrnRaymond had served in the United States Army and worked as a farmer. He married Flossie Lee Moore on May 23, 1951 in Konawa, Oklahoma. They have been longtime members of Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole.rnrnSurvivors include his wife of 56 years, Flossie Spoonemore of the home. Two sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and his wife Joanne Spoonemore and Larry and his wife Jeannie Spoonemore all of Seminole, Oklahoma. One sister Ona Woody of Seminole, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Samantha (Spoonemore) Kerr of Francis, Oklahoma and Paul Spoonemore of Seminole, Oklahoma. Also surviving is one great grandson, Isaiah Spoonemore of Seminole, Oklahoma and a host of other family and dear friends.rnrnRaymond is preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers Cecil and Chalmer Spoonemore.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. ? Tuesday ? April 15, 2008 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Little Cemetery. Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service with Rev.
