Raymond Leroy Blain, age 90, passed away April 7, 2020 at his home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He was born April 19, 1929 in Sparks, Oklahoma to parents Oscar Raymond Blain and Thelma Juanita (Turner) Blain. He married Cordelia (Mathis) on January 16, 1957 in Gainesville, Texas. She passed away December 17, 1992. He grew up in Sparks and Harjo in Oklahoma. Raymond worked as an aircraft mechanic at Tinker Air Force from 1963 until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #106 in Maud, Oklahoma. He was a 32nd degree Mason and received his 50 year pin in 2013. He enjoyed going out to eat with friends, fishing and playing cards and dominoes. Raymond is survived by his sons; Frank Blain and his wife Linda of Enid, Oklahoma, Jim Blain and his wife Verdonna of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Anthony Gregory and his wife Charlotte, his daughter; Debbie Blain of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, his brothers; Don Blain and his wife Sue of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Merle Blain and his wife Judy of Maypearl, Texas, his sisters; Marie Lott of Bakersfield, California, Melba Marsh and her husband Jack of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Margaret Outlaw of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Cordelia, sons; Bob Gregory and Alvin Gregory, brothers; Kenny Blain, Bob Blain and Bill Blain and one great grandson. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Graveside services for Raymond will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2020 at Cummings cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Life Springs Hospice Chaplain Paul Jones will officiate. Casket bearers will be Zachary Newell, Dillion Dildine, Garrett Wallace, Trenton Nakvinda, Bryce Welch and Kaden Williams. Honorary bearers will be Butch Newell, Mark Blain and Brandon Blain. Due to the Covid19 pandemic and CDC guidelines, only 10 people may gather at the graveside. All others will need to remain in their vehicles.
