Ray Taylor

Ray Taylor, 73 year-old life long Seminole County resident passed from this life Monday, August 11, 2008 at his home in Seminole after a short battle with heart problems. He was born September 29, 1934 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to parents Hulin Brooks Taylor and Hazel Naomi (Dunn) Taylor.rnrnRay served in the United States Army and worked at Tinker Air force Base in Oklahoma City. He also served as a volunteer Seminole Firefighter and was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Seminole.rnrnRay married Patricia ?Sue? Lemons on December 21, 1956 in Nocona, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 17, 1998. His parents also preceded him in death.rnrnSurvivors include three sons and daughters-in-law; Kenny & Pam Taylor, Rick & Kellie Taylor and Kevin & Paula Taylor all of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill & Hope Taylor of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Zack and his wife Stephanie Taylor, Adam Taylor, Drew Taylor, Collin Taylor, Madeline Taylor, Mylissa and husband Marcus May of Seminole and Amber and husband Erick Hilton of Seminole also survive. Ray is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Pollard officiating assisted by Dr. Jack Medlock. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee with Military Honors.rnrnPallbearers will be: Tony Gustin, Terry Young, Tracy Young, Tommy Kenard, Derryl Presley, Danny Wallace and David Taylor. rnrnHonorary Bearers will be grandsons; Zack Taylor, Adam Taylor, Drew Taylor and Collin Taylor. rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home ?
