Lifetime Seminole County resident Ray Evans ?Buzzy Johnson passed went to be with his Lord on Monday, September 22, 2008 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 85.rnrnHe was born on October 15, 1922 in Salina, Oklahoma to Eldridge ?Ed? and Goldie (Trammell) Johnson. rnrnRay worked for Joe Tolbert Trucking Company as a truck driver where he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Bowlegs Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved them very much. rnrnHe married Sue (Collums) Johnson on May 1, 1954 in Seminole, Oklahoma, she survives him of the home, he is also survived by, two daughters and sons-in-law; Becky and Roger Palmer of Seminole and Brenda and Willis Deatherage of McAlester, Oklahoma, five sisters; Piney Thomas of Seminole, Virginia Shuler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vada Knolls of Eugene, Oregon, Imogene Hobbs of Apache Junction, Arizona, Gearldene Carnes of Muskogee, Oklahoma, six grandchildren; Nathan Palmer, Rachel Palmer of Seminole, Bryan Deatherage of Red Oak, Jeffery Deatherage of McAlester, Kenneth Deatherage of Ada and Elizabeth Hayhurst of Saginaw, Texas and he is also survived by seven great grandchildren. rn rnHe is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Goldie Johnson and three brothers, Dick, Frank and Clarence and one sister, Lucille Long. rn rnGraveside services are scheduled for 2:00p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma with Slim Crabtree and Dean Debtor officiating. rnrnCasket bearers will be his nephews and honorary bearers will be: Nathan Palmer, Roger Palmer, Andy Johnson, Joe Reed and Jim Millsrnrn Funeral Information: September 24, 2008, 2:00 AM
